Afghanistan's only American with a lot of money war with Iran if the U.S. will likely be a poor country because it is too to pay for things that are not useful.

Lindsay Lohan return with SNL

Written By new on Monday, 5 March 2012 | 03:03

Lohan's movie career resumes soon, as well. She'll portray film legend Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime movie "Liz & Dick," which starts production in Vancouver, Canada, at the start of May, according to a source familiar with her plans.
The legal troubles that derailed her acting career for much of the past five years became material for jokes as Lohan hosted SNL for a fourth time.

Most of the show avoided references to her criminal history. Skits included Lohan as "Rapunzel" in a fictional "The Real Housewives of Disney," and as "Illiterate Lisa," a Minnesota morning radio show sidekick.
But one skit and her opening monologue centered on Lohan's bad-girl reputation.
"I feel lucky and grateful to be here tonight, and that's why I really want to thank all of my friends at SNL who trusted me enough to have me back," Lohan said at the start of her monologue.
But an alarm sounded and red lights flashed as she stepped toward the audience.
"Wait, so the alarm goes off if I leave the stage?" she said. "I thought it was only if I left the studio. I thought you guys trusted me."
SNL cast member Kenan Thompson then joined her onstage, telling her "how beautiful your eyes are."
"Can I see your eyes, please?" Thompson said, before using a flashlight to peer into her eyes as if he was a cop during a drunk-driving stop.
"She's good," he said, walking off stage.
"You know, I do get the feeling that everybody thinks I'm going to screw something up," Lohan said.
"No, no, look at me," cast member Kristen Wiig told Lohan. "Everybody here believes in you, everyone. We wouldn't have you back, otherwise."
While Lohan gave her a hug, Wiig patted her down.
"Kristen, are you searching me?" Lohan asked.
"No, I'm a lesbian now," Wiig said.
"Been there, done that," said Lohan, who once carried on a much-publicized romance with a female friend.
"She's clean, she's clean," Wiig said.
"Maybe it was too soon to come back," said Lohan, as former SNL star Jimmy Fallon popped onto the stage.
"This is the return of Lindsay Lohan," Fallon said. "The new old Lindsay Lohan is back."
But Fallon, too, played on Lohan's history of failing to show up for court, community service work and interviews.
"Everybody makes mistakes, but that doesn't mean you can't shake them off, you can do this," Fallon said. "And if for any reason you can't, Jon Hamm's on standby as back-up host."
The camera then focused on the "Mad Men" star sitting on the front row. "No, Lindsay, I'm sure you're going to be great," Hamm said, while winking to Fallon.
Lohan played herself as a "scared straight" counselor in a skit with Thompson that included several jokes about the hazards of jail rape and Lohan and Thompson screaming at three young men arrested for stealing bicycles.
"It starts with bike jacking and guess where it ends," Thompson asked them.

Payne then pointed out his mom, who came to L.A. from Omaha for the event and who, Payne said, "made me promise that if I ever won another Academy Award, that I'd have to dedicate it to her, just like Javier Bardem did with HIS mother. Thanks for letting me skip nursery school so we could go to the movies."

BEST FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM: Iranian director Asghar Farhadi, the first filmmaker from his country to win this award, makes a from-the-gut, eloquent, thoughtful acceptance speech in which he states Iran is "a rich and ancient culture that has been hidden under politics… I kindly offer this award to the people of my country , a people who respect all cultures and civilizations and despise hostility and resentment."

Complimentary, witty and self-effacing, the onetime "Sound of Music" co-star thanks his fellow nominees, his director and co-star, his daughter Amanda Plummer, and his wife, "who deserves a Nobel Peace prize for coming to my rescue every day."

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter in Springfield

Written By new on Thursday, 23 February 2012 | 08:55

At a recent promotional event to hype the upcoming supernatural-historical action hybrid Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter in Springfield, IL, attendees were treated to a trio of new videos released especially for the occasion. Those videos are now online and you can watch them here below.

The first was a standard behind-the-scenes featurette that runs less than two minutes and features soundbites from director Timur Bekmambetov, producer Tim Burton, and others alongside clips from the movie that were recently seen in the teaser trailer.

The second features Tim Burton giving an introduction quite befitting of Tim Burton, perhaps not the awesome Tim Burton we had back in the 80′s and early 90′s, but the Tim Burton we have now and we all must live with that. It’s a strange video with Burton standing in a snowy graveyard surrounded by motionless figures holding umbrellas while he speaks in a voice that may not be entirely his, lending the clip an even creepier vibe.

The third and most interesting video features director Bekmambetov, lead actor Benjamin Walker, co-screenwriter and novelist Seth Grahame-Smith, and producer Jim Lemley being shown around a vault of Lincoln-related memorabilia, with a few props relevant to the movie thrown in. It’s shrewd, but also frustrating because if you’re like me you’ll be left wondering if the whole video is just an elaborate goof.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter opens on June 22, 2012.

Elizabeth's Smart Married

Written By new on Wednesday, 22 February 2012 | 08:38

"Elizabeth's desire was for what most women want — to celebrate her nuptials in a private wedding with family and close friends," family spokesman Chris Thomas said in a statement. "She decided, about a week ago, the best way to avoid significant distraction was to change her wedding plans and to get married in an unscheduled ceremony outside of Utah."
Elizabeth Smart married her fiance Saturday at a Mormon temple in Hawaii, several months ahead of scheduled plans for the nuptials after news of her engagement last month drew widespread media attention.
A family spokesman said the Utah woman who was kidnapped at knifepoint at age 14 and held captive for n

The 24-year-old Smart is a senior at Brigham Young University. She met Gilmour, of Aberdeen, Scotland, while doing Mormon missionary work in Paris.
The couple wed at the Laie Hawaii Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in front of a small group of family members, Thomas said. The group then celebrated at a private reception and luau.
Smart and Gilmour got engaged last month and initially made plans to wed this summer.
"The bride and groom were beaming as they left the LDS Temple," he added, noting the couple planned to go on an extended honeymoon in an undisclosed location.
"We're just thrilled that she's married," her father, Ed Smart, told The Salt Lake Tribune, calling the ceremony a "kind of a spur of a moment thing."
Onetime itinerant street preacher Brian David Mitchell was convicted in 2010 of Smart's 2002 kidnapping and sexual assault. He is serving a life prison sentence.
Since her rescue, Smart has become increasingly involved in advocacy work for crime victims, forming the Elizabeth Smart Foundation, aimed largely at protecting children from abuse through prevention and education.
"Her wedding further demonstrates it is possible to rise above challenging circumstances to lead a happy and productive life," Thomas said. "Once Elizabeth returns from her honeymoon, she looks forward to continuing her child advocacy work."

Ipad3 Released

Written By new on Wednesday, 15 February 2012 | 14:12

The Apple iPad is one of the best-selling tablets in the world, and the iPad 3 is one of the most anticipated devices from Apple this year. In a nutshell, the Apple iPad3 will feature a new, thinner and sleeker design, down nearly 20 percent in size compared to the iPad 2. It will also support full touchscreen HD display with a screen resolution of 2048 x 1536.
Apart from that, the iPad 3 will have a lighter battery, reducing the weight of the tablet. It is also expected that the iPad 3 will have a wireless charging technology, which will be able to charge the battery and transfer data wirelessly.
A6 Processor
Now Apple is aiming to make the competition tougher by sporting an A6 Quad-core Processor in the iPad 3. This would make the iPad 3 as powerful as any high-end desktop.
According to Linley Group senior analyst Kevin Krewell, “We expect the A6 will be a quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 design, which would be competitive with next year’s best mobile processors. In 2012, Nvidia will offer a quad-core Cortex-A9 processor, and Qualcomm will have the aforementioned MSM8960, a dual-core A15-class processor operating at 1.7GHz. Fabricating Apple’s A6 in 28nm (instead of the 40nm process Nvidia is using for its quad-core part) will reduce both die cost and power, yielding a much better product.”
iOS 5
The iPad3 will come with the latest iOS 5, which will host the multi-touch gesture technology. However, analyst and tech enthusiasts predict that Apple would introduce OS X Lion for the tablet, since it will be powered by a quad-core processor.
This will also include multitasking features, such as notifications, task-finishing, app-switching, location and background sound.

3D Feature and New Retina Display

Apple enthusiast expected the Retina Display feature on Apple iPad 2; however, Apple has been working majorly for an improved version of it to include it in the iPad 3. The iPhone 4 currently supports the Retina Display with a screen resolution of 960 x 640. Apple explains Retina Display as: “Developing pixels a mere 78 micrometers wide, Apple engineers were able to pack four times the number of pixels into the same 3.5-inch (diagonal) screen found on earlier iPhone models. The resulting pixel density of iPhone 4 – 326 pixels per inch – makes text and graphics look smooth and continuous at any size.”
With the Retina Display feature, the screen resolution of the iPad3 will be 2048 x 1536 pixels. However, it is said that the third version of the tablet is delayed due to Retina Display issues, and Apple is expected to ship the tablet in early 2012.
